Job description: Planning Manager - Cardiff - Mission Critical - Up to £100,000 + Package

Purpose of the Role As an Experienced Planner in the data center industry, you will play a crucial role in the successful execution of data hall fit-out projects. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and manage comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring timely and efficient completion of a n umber of concurrent projects. You will collaborate closely with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients, to ensure the smooth coordination of activities and adherence to project requirements. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in data center construction planning and possess exceptional organizational, communication, and problem- Solving skills.
Key Deliverables

• Develop and maintain detailed project plans and schedules.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand project goals, requirements, and constraints.
• Conduct thorough analysis of project scope, identifying crucial milestones, dependencies, and potential risks.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, Subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials and equipment.
• Monitor project progress, track actual vs. planned performance, and provide regular updates to the project team and management.
• Anticipate and proactively address potential project delays, obstacles, and risks, implementing corrective measures as needed
• Facilitate effective communicator and collaboration among project team members, ensuring alignment and clarity of project objectives.
• Conduct regular meetings with project stakeholders to review project status, address concerns, and manage expectation.
• Evaluate and recommend process improvements and innovative solutions to enhance project efficiency and quality.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices, emerging trends, and technological advancements in data center planning.
• In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the job holder is required to perform other dukes assigned by their manager from time-to-time, as may be reasonably required of them

Skills & Attributes

• Bachelor's degree in construCt1on management, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience, at least 4 years, as a planner in data center construct on projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction planning methodologies, Scheduling techniques, and project management principles.
• Proficient in using project management software and tools (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, etc.).
