Kenton Black are delighted to be supporting a small but wonderful accounting firm currently looking to recruit an experienced Practice Accountant/ Accounts/ Tax Senior.

ABOUT THE PRACTICE/ ROLE
Based in Manchester, with clients nationally, they are a full-service accountancy firm offering bespoke combinations of work to their clients. As Practice Accountant/ Accounts/ Tax Senior you will contribute to servicing their client portfolio consisting of a diverse group of business sectors from SME’s to large multinational corporations including: Retail and Wholesale, Construction, Legal & Professional, Property Investment, Private Individuals, Charities, Start-ups, Hospitality, Manufacturing, Freelancers & Contractors, Influencers, Software Developers, Ecommerce Accounting.

They pride themselves in treating each of their clients with equal importance whether it’s a personal tax return or the financial statements of a multi-million property development.
Above all they listen to what their clients have to say so that they can understand their business and allow them to be as successful as possible through efficient accounting and best practice tax planning with their key services including: Business Services, Tax and Accounts, Payroll & People amongst others.

AS PRACTICE ACCOUNTANT/ ACCOUNTS/ TAX SENIOR YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

-Preparation of Year-End/ Annual Accounts
-Bookkeeping
-VAT Returns
-Management accounts
-Personal Tax Returns
-Corporation Tax Returns
-Liaising with clients and dealing with queries
-Company Secretarial Duties
-Payroll and ad hoc duties
-You will use a variety of cloud software including: TaxCalc, Glide and Xero amongst others.

The majority of your work will be working with SME’s across a broad range of their client base and mostly 95% Limited Company Accounts

EXPERIENCE/ QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED TO APPLY FOR THE ROLE OF PRACTICE ACCOUNTANT/ ACCOUNTS/ TAX SENIOR

-Xero/ Cloud Based Software experience essential
-Minimum 3 years’ experience within an accountancy practice
-Solid bookkeeping & VAT skills
-Strong Year-End Accounting skills
-Excellent Client Facing skills/ overall communication skills
-Interest in tech and use of apps in bookkeeping/reporting work
