My client, a leading Consultancy is currently recruiting for a Principal Designer to join their close-knit team on a permanent basis. This role offers some flexibility and ideally, you will live in England. This role will involve travel, as well as providing PD duties to some higher-value projects. Projects include sheds, mixed-use commercial & university works. Project values are £40m+.

You will plan, monitor, and coordinate health and safety risks in the design phase of pre-phase construction projects and advise clients on all H&S and CDM regulations. Alongside this, you will carry out site inspections & audits and ensure that all Health & Safety documentation is fully compliant with current legislation.

Role requirements

Design risk management experience
A strong background in construction with previous experience working as a PD
Ensure projects comply with CDM 2015, this is through involvement throughout the design phase and the start of projects
Assist the client in construction site safety and design (Architecture, Engineering, Surveying etc.)
NEBOSH National General/Construction Health and Safety certificate, or equivalent
