THE COMPANY
Our Client, a leading and reputable firm of Chartered Accountants in York have a significant presence in Yorkshire and whilst very established, are still a growing accountancy, tax and business advisory firm with lots to offer their employees re long term career development.

Due to continued growth they are looking to recruit a Private Client Tax Manager

ROLE OVERVIEW
Working within their tax department as Private Client Tax Manager, you will be joining their expanding Private Client Team, managing the complex tax affairs of individuals, families, trusts and businesses.

You will provide taxation services to an allocated diverse portfolio of clients, having opportunities to build strong client relationships as their trusted advisor, in a role and environment where you can progress your career.

As Private Client Tax Manager your key responsibilities will include:

-Preparation and reviewing of trust and personal tax returns
-Preparation of forms R185 for the beneficiaries
-Dealing with the Trust Registration Service
-Reporting property disposals under the 60 day reporting regime
-Preparation of inheritance tax returns for relevant property trusts
-Tax advisory work
-Dealing with HMRC enquiries
-Building and maintaining client relationships
-Identifying tax planning opportunities
-Provide training support to other team members

PERSON SPECIFICATION/ ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS

-You will be either STEP/CTA/ACA/ACCA qualified with experience working in trust or personal tax compliance.
-Management of other team members would be an advantage.
-You should be able to manage a client portfolio in a pro-active way and good organisation skills are essential.
-Part qualified candidates with existing experience in tax, or those qualified by experience, will also be considered

WORKING ARRANGEMENTS

-35 hours per week, to be worked from 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday.
