Your New Role as the Purchase Ledger Clerk:

As the Purchase Ledger Clerk you will report to the Accounts Payable Team Leader, carrying out the following duties:-

• To manage and process the weekly payment runs
• Process ad-hoc urgent CHAPs and FP payments – ensuring invoices being paid are appropriately authorised prior to payment
• To assist in projecting cash flows of the relevant Group companies.
• Manage the tenant refund process
• Download of direct debit payments from all bank accounts
• To provide ad-hoc information to Managing Directors and line managers to assist them in improving the efficiency, economy and effectiveness of their businesses.
• To assist in process for ensuring compliance with CIS within Group.
• To provide ad hoc information to suppliers / contractors and service users to resolve queries and issues.
• Participate in financial projects and initiatives.
• To assist the Accounts Payable Lead in the production of aggregate information for the Group as a whole.
• To provide cover for the AP Payments Clerk

Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:

To be considered for this position, you will have experience transacting BACs, CHAPs and Faster Payments, as well as experience of using online banking systems and managing and processing weekly payment runs. You should have the ability to work quickly, accurately, methodically and sometimes under pressure. You will have outstanding IT skills with experience of using Microsoft Office, specifically Excel to ensure that you are able to undertake all essential daily tasks. The suitable candidate for this role will have experience of working to and knowledge of finance policies, procedures and best practice.
