A manufacturing SME in Kendal are seeking an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their team. As a family owned business, operating for almost 50 years they have firmly established themselves as the number 1 provider of choice in their market, taking pride in the products and service they offer.
This role is based at their Head office and on site manufacturing facility in Kendal.

Your new role as Purchase Ledger Clerk:
As Purchase Ledger Clerk you will have the added opportunity to support the Financial Controller with various project assignments. This will include; invoice discounting, audit requirements, bank liaison and you will also be keen to assist with daily cash flow, forecasts, debtor and creditor position.
Key duties include:
• Matching and posting suppliers invoices into Opera 3
• Preparing monthly aged creditor reports & statement reconciliation
• Monitor cost allocation amongst departments
• Checking the accuracy of delivery notes, chasing credit notes if necessary
• Dealing with supplier queries
• Filing and archiving account payable transactions
• Responsible for monthly closure of P&L
Experience & Qualifications required to apply:
You ideally will have had prior experience in the position of Purchase Ledger Clerk, with the ability to work methodically with accuracy to ensure all applications are processed efficiently. Strong Excel knowledge is required and familiarity with Opera 3 is advantageous. Excellent problem solving skills and a calm and professional manner are essential.
