Based on the outskirts of St. Helens, within easy commute from the M6 my client, a rapidly growing market leader is seeking to recruit an experienced Purchase Ledger Supervisor to join their existing team. Due to acquisitions and continued expansion this role is available for an immediate start for the right candidate. This is a really exciting time join the business.

Your new role as a Purchase Ledger Supervisor:

As Purchase Ledger Supervisor you will report into the Finance Director and oversee a team of Purchase Ledger Clerks. You will be responsible for ensuring the timely processing of purchase invoices following company policy and procedures. You will also be responsible for the management and development of your team.

Day to day duties:

• Dealing with both managerial and administrative tasks in order to ensure the smooth running of the purchase ledger department
• Managing a team of 4 ledger clerk with growth potential
• Allocating workload as required
• Dealing with any complex queries
• Month end reporting
• Processing BACS payment
• Paying expenses
• Supplier reconciliations
• Cash book analysis
• System and process implementation

Experience & Qualifications Required to apply:

• Previous experience within a Ledger Supervisory or Management
• System implementation – advantageous
• Excellent leadership skills
• Good attention to detail
• Strong IT skills including excel
