Based on the outskirts of Chorley, my client are an employee owned business with family core values, with the customer focus and entrepreneurial spirit that were present when the business was established in 1980’s, still at their core today. This organisation are now recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Supervisor to work in a small team supervising the purchase ledger for the Group. You will also assist with the preparation of the management accounts. This is an excellent opportunity for somebody who is looking for a long term career within a finance function.

Your New Role as the Purchase Ledger Supervisor:

As the Purchase Ledger Supervisor you will be responsible for the following duties:-

- Supervision of the Hotel’s Purchase Ledger process ensuring the process is completed accurately, on time and to company policy
- Reconciliation of control accounts and payment proposals
- Key contact for centrally procured suppliers including resolution of supplier queries
- Identifying and implementation of process improvement
- Reporting, monitoring and verification of utility expenditure
- Bank reconciliations
- Assisting with the preparation of the quarterly management accounts in the form of accruals and prepayments

Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:

- Finance experience is essential however supplementary training will be provided
- Solid administration skills including good attention to detail
- Be proficient in IT, in particular Microsoft Excel
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs grade A-C, including English and Maths
- Able to work well as part of a team and on your own using initiative
- Experience of supervising a small team would be desirable
