Quantity Surveyor - Contract/Permanent - Rail experience required - Newcastle - £350pd/£50k

A well-established Contractor in the Rail Industry with over 60 Years' experience, with a project portfolio spanning all corners of the UK.

As the Quantity Surveyor to help support the commercial team on a new rail project which is based in Newcastle Upon Tyne. This is a £55mil rail project commencing immediately and continuing until Feb 2023. The project is for Nexus and is NEC4 Option C. The project is multidisciplinary including Design, Track, OLE, Signalling and Civils Works and will require someone with relevant experience and Ideally someone who is local to Newcastle.

Duties

Implement Commercial Strategy for the project to ensure successful Commercial delivery
Procure and manage Subcontractors
Prepare and submit Client Applications for Payment
Internal and external management reporting
Compile, submit and agree Variations
Maintain good relationships with all stakeholders
Contract Administration
Liaising with project Planner

Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications

For this role you must possess the following;

3+ Years previous experience as a quantity surveyor
Experience in NEC 3 Contracts
Ability to challenge opposition parties to ensure the best deal possible
Degree or Equivalent in a relevant field
