Quantity Surveyor
Worcestershire / Warwickshire
Civil Engineering

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor with a background in civil engineering for a top regional contractor.

We are currently working with a privately owned, regional civil engineering contractor based in Worcestershire that turn over £40m and operate throughout the Midlands and Southwest.

The company specialise in delivering civil engineering projects and frameworks including infrastructure, highways, public realm etc for a range of private clients and local authorities.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will have overall commercial responsibility on the project including the production of valuations, cost value reports, measurements, subcontract procurement and payment, final accounting, cash collections, production of forecasts (with the site team) and the management of subordinates working with a Senior QS reporting into a Commercial Manager.

A strong general civil engineering background will be essential for this position, due to a wide variety of civil engineering elements on the scheme which include: earthworks, highways, deep drainage, s278’s, footways and culverts.

Criteria:
• Degree of equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying
• Minimum of 3-4 years’ experience working for a civil engineering contractor
• Experience working on similar projects

Salary & Package:
• Up to £55,000 basic salary (dependent on experience)
• £6,500 car allowance
• 25 days leave plus bank holidays
• Expense based healthcare scheme
