Kenton Black are currently working with a reputable and established, UK wide property maintenance company to recruit a Quantity Surveyor on a freelance basis. The initial contract will run for 3 months with the expectation of the contract being extended or made permanent dependent on circumstance of both client and candidate.

There is the option of hybrid working with the expectation to be in the West Lothian based office on a weekly basis for meetings etc.

Main areas of work our client focusses on are reactive maintenance, void housing refurbishments and planned social housing works.

As quantity surveryor you will be responsible for;

• Measurement, pricing and evaluation of tenders
• Take responsibility of projects from inception to completion
• Identify areas to improve margin
• Cost management
• Target creation CVR
• Forecasting Management and administration of sub-contractor accounts
• Producing and submitting applications for payment

To be considered for this role the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience of working in a construction or maintenance environment, ideally with experience of working in maintenance of social housing. You will require a relevant qualification (HNC, HND or degree).

Pay rate DOE; £280 - £350 per day
