Kenton Black Finance are working in partnership with a leading UK accountancy firm to recruit an "R&D Tax Senior Manager" for their Manchester Office. This will be a key appointment within their established Tax operation and growing R&D Tax team.

JOB OVERVIEW

As R&D Tax Senior Manager, this role will give you the opportunity to work with a rapidly growing tax department to further enhance your skills and deliver excellent tax advice with support. You will be expected to take the lead on projects using your expertise to make a real difference as the department continues to grow. As R&D Tax Senior Manager you will be working closely with the various tax teams to deliver timely and accurate ad hoc tax advice.

RESPONSIBILITIES

-As R&D Tax Senior Manager you will be working on complex, multi-national group, OMB and start-up claims completing both SME & RDEC schemes within every claimable industry.
-Lead and implement the R&D tax relief audit for all claim submissions whilst executing compliance and QA checks.
-Creation of all written technical and financial material for claims utilised by the company personnel for submission.
-Create and lead technical R&D tax relief training for the wider company
-Understanding and creation of associated R&D expenditure value for the technical projects within the reports
-Helping provide technical knowledge & win business for the company when assisting in sales meetings
-Implement R&D tax relief internal workflow process for new and existing business claims
-Manage, mentor, aid and coach Managers/ Juniors upon both SME & RDEC schemes, irrespective of size or industry
-Give clients and team members comprehensive advice on all aspects of the R&D tax relief
-Complete in-depth experience with interpretation of the R&D tax relief BEIS guidelines and associated legislation for SME & RDEC schemes for all industries
-Identifying new strategies for growth amongst other points of discussion

EXPERIENCE/ QUALIFICATIONS

-Circa 8+ years in Tax / R&D Tax, desirable
-Background within either a leading accounting firm oR R&D Tax Boutique
-Experience of working with a varied client portfolio
-Ability to showcase your experience on both SME and RDEC claims
-Ability to lead and create defendable disputes in opposition to HMRC’s enquiry
-Strong level of proficiency in the BEIS guidelines and legislations linked with R&D tax relief
-Ability to establish robust technical narrative for the company and its clientele
-Experience of mentoring and training junior team members
-Strong networking skills with the ability to be the key representative for the firm
-Ability to enhance and identify R&D in all industries
