Your new role as Senior Accountant:

As Senior Accountant you shall oversee the production of accurate and timely management information to stakeholders in a commercial role. Working closely with senior stakeholders you shall seek to enhance and develop the existing management information to improve the understanding of non-financial managers and the key performance indicators effecting their business.

Key role duties:

• Production of monthly accounts to include detailed board pack detail and analysis
• Lead and oversee effective Business Partnering across group to enable and impact the decision making process
• Budget management, monitoring and reporting reviewing monthly performance with operations including updating forecasts
• Balance Sheet reconciliation
• Statutory accounting including regulatory reporting and management to legislative requirements
• Long and short-term project delivery, ensuring business units remain within budget and any variation is reported and understood by stakeholders and budget managers.
• Management and supervision of a small team contributing to the teams professional and personal development.

Experience & Qualifications Required to apply:

Formally qualified, or working towards CIMA/ACCA/ACA you shall have substantial experience in a similar role and a solid understanding across the production of Management Accounts in the housing arena. You will ideally have worked in a finance role within a housing environment however, should you have experience of a similar sector, your application may be considered. An effective communicator and able to add value to external and internal stakeholders through business partnering you shall have experience of setting budgets, managing forecasts and adding value to the short and long-term strategy of a forward thinking business. A team player, and effective staff motivator you shall have the ability to lead on the analysis of detailed financial data and be able to explain the detail in a clear and concise way, both in report format, presentations and verbally.
