Kenton Black are delighted to be working with a well-respected accountancy practice in Chesterfield currently looking for a Senior Accounts Manager to join their team.

They offer a broad range of services to a varied client base including statutory and management accounts, tax compliance and planning and business advisory services.

As Senior Accounts Manager your duties will include:

-Responsible for line managing, mentoring and training of small but expanding team. This will also include the scheduling and workflows to ensure compliance with deadlines and targets.
-Reviewing work produced by semi-senior and junior accountants
-Ensure all services are provided to a high professional standard
-Develop new business opportunities, appealing to new clients as well as offering additional services to trusted and existing customers
-Highlight and delivery issues and suggest approaches to rectify
-Preparation and submission of statutory accounts under FRS102: Section 1A Small Entities, planning and filing corporation and personal tax returns etc.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

To be considered for the role of Senior Accounts Manager you will need to have the following:

-Working knowledge of bookkeeping packages including: Sage, Xero, Quickbooks - desirable
-ACA/ ACCA/ MAAT/ CIMA Qualified/ Newly Qualified - desirable
-Current/ recent public practice background
-Ability to independently finalise work completed by the semi seniors through to client approval stage - essential
-Strong technical skills with the ability to work confidently and effectively with a varied client portfolio
