Senior biochemist

Kenton Black is a recruitment partner to a bio-pharmaceutical testing laboratory based in Slough.

Responsibilities

• Provide training to junior biochemists
• Perform analysis using techniques such as HPLC affinity/SEC, ELISAs, qPCR and HCP
• Prepare/review reagent extensions and lead assay reagent crossovers, as required.
• To communicate progress and escalate challenges to senior and/or project teams as appropriate.
• Conduct trouble shooting and out of specification investigations
• Provide support in method validation
• Work according to GMP guidelines

QUALIFICATIONS
• Degree in biochemistry , Molecular biology or equivalent
• Experience in provide training and managing junior staff member
• Experience of monitoring, scheduling and ensure efficient throughput of Activities
• Proven experience in using techniques such as HPLC Affinity / SEC based testing and Ion Chromatography, electrophoresis, Impurity & Activity ELISAs, qPCR and HCP Previous experience in working within GMP regulated laboratory.
• Proven experience in working within pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical laboratory is desired
