Kenton Black Finance are recruiting one again on behalf of an organisation based in the Wigton area. Our Client are a customer orientated business in the manufacturing sector. They now seek to appoint a Senior Buyer into their Supply Chain team on a permanent, full time basis. So if you have at least 3 years experience in a similar role and you're seeking a new challenge with a supportive and respected business, then please get in touch.

Your New Role as the Senior Buyer:

As the Senior Buyer you will report to the Supply Chain Manager, where you will be a critical interface with suppliers and have the opportunity to work on a constantly evolving range of different challenges. You will ideally be degree level or CIPS/MCIPS qualified, however, this is not essential as long as you have the equivalent working experience. You will have a proven history of negotiation skills, contract management, and service level agreements, whilst possessing the ability to build strong and effective supplier/stakeholder relationships. In addition, you will have excellent communication skills with the ability to achieve high output under pressure. You will also have exceptional administration skills with high attention to detail, whilst having strong knowledge of Microsoft applications, particularly Excel.

Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:

To be considered for this position, you will have a minimum of 3 years recent experience in a similar role. You will have experience of working to tight deadlines with minimum supervision, whilst also being able to organise and prioritise your workload. In addition, you will be able to use IT in a financial environment, in particular, Excel. You will also have good communication and team working skills, and possess good attention to detail.
