Senior Engineer - Nottingham, Main Contractor - Outside IR35

We will be building a ‘twin deep vertical slot’ fish pass that will be 200m long, 6m wide and 6m deep. It is broken up into a series of 21 ascending RC chambers into which the water flows through narrow slots. All fish species will be able to swim through these slots and rest in the next chamber above before continuing their journey up the pass and into the river above. Reinforced Concrete and earthworks experience is required.

Job Description:-

Supervise the works to maintain high health and safety standards
Be willing to spend some time on site if required to assist with setting out duties
In conjunction with the engineers and surveyors, ensure all setting out is present and correct before work starts
Ensuring all RAMS are in place prior to work commencing
Ensure ITPs and MARs are in place prior to works commencing and ensure supply chain comply with these, stopping works where required when this is not being adhered to
In conjunction with the discipline Supervisor, ensure that plant, labour and materials for each item of work are identified and available in good time
Review the drawings and specification to identify errors and omissions and bring these to the attention of the project team via TQ's
Maintain program and identify opportunities. Record resources and monitor outputs against program
Keep a full and accurate daily diary, including any changes / variations, specialist attendances

What we are looking for:-

Minimum 5 years experience delivering complex projects
SMSTS
Relevant CSCS
Computer competence
Civil Engineering related qualification (HNC, HND, BSc MSc, BEng, MEng)
Successful experience as a site engineer
