My client has an opportunity for an aspirational Senior Quantity Surveyor who wants to join a successful family-owned Civil Engineering business, with aspirations to develop and grow into more senior positions within the organisation – this opportunity provides a genuine fast track opportunity to Commercial Manager!

The business has 30 years trading history and turnover £14 million, working on projects nationally up to the value of £10m. Being a family-owned business, they offer a great work life balance and an excellent working environment. This role will be working within a small team, reporting directly into the Commercial Director. This is an officed based role with site visits required as when.

They currently have an opportunity for a commercial aware individual, who has experience dealing with compensation events, NEC forms of contract and negotiations. The right individual must have been in a similar post for 3 – 5 years working on civil engineering projects (heavy civils, RC frames or tunnelling) for either a main contractor or subcontractor.

Qualifications/Background:
• Educated to Degree level or equivalent in Quantity Surveying.
• Strong knowledge of NEC form of contract with knowledge of Option A desirable.
• Experience completing compensation events.
• Experience working in a similar role for 3-5 years.
• Experience working for a main contractor or subcontractor within civil engineering.
• UK driving licence
• CSCS card

Salary & Package:
• Up to £75,000 basic salary
• Car or Car Allowance
• Fuel Card/Mileage
