My Client are a Tier 1 Main Contractor that operate throughout the UK on a range of major projects across varied sectors: High-Rise Living, Commercial, Healthcare, Student Accommodation, Pharma etc. They are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a the Yorkshire Division working on Projects £40m - £100m.

Purpose of the role

The initial project will be a £50m BTR High-Rise development in Leeds. Reporting to the Commercial Lead, the Senior Quantity Surveyor will play a crucial role in the delivery of this high profile scheme with key responsibilities including:

Duties:
• Ownership of several large packages up to £10m in value
• Contract negotiation – scrutinising terms & conditions of contracts
• Cost reporting to be completed by the commercial lead, however regular updates to be reported on
• Cost advice and input into value engineering
• Liaison with sub-contractors
• Issue payments
• Mentoring of junior members of the team

Ideal Candidate
• The ideal candidate will have a track-record of delivering high-rise city centre builds from inception to completion up to £30m
• A Confident decision maker who is able to take ownership of workload
• Knowledge of JCT contract advantageous
• Experience of 4Projects would also be of benefit but not essential
• Other project experience including Healthcare, Student Accommodation or Data Centres would be of interest
• UK Driving License
