An exciting opportunity has arisen for you to join a reputable civil engineering and earthworks contractor, working across a regional range of drainage, highways and groundworks projects as their Regional Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental Advisor. They work on a range of large-scale, specialist remediation and earthworks projects for developers and housing providers and you will be working on schemes across the Yorkshire region.

Reporting into the Head of Support Services, you will be:

• Advising and implementing Health & Safety safe working procedures to eliminate/control risk to operatives.
• Developing and implementing the Company’s Health & Safety Management System to ensure continuation of the OHSAS 18001 Standard.
• Identifying potential problems and offer value engineering solutions where possible.
• Identifying, developing and implementing Health & Safety training to raise awareness and encourage a proactive approach to site Health & Safety management
• Assisting sites in the writing of Risk Assessments and Method Statements

You will well-versed in managing sub-contractors, controlling their safety output on-site and ensuring compliance across a diverse and challenging risk portfolio. You will be:

• An excellent communicator, comfortable building relationships from site to board level
• NEBOSH-qualified
• Self-motivator with strong organisation skills
• Experienced in civil engineering or earthworks hazards (ESSENTIAL)
