Site Engineer – up to £50,000 plus package - Northampton

My client is a Main Contractor specialising in new build and refurbishment projects within the Commercial and Leisure sectors (valued up to £20m) and due to a growing order book are recruiting for a Site Engineer to join the team.

Key responsibilities include:
Maintaining records of work completed and providing sketches/information from drawings and specifications for the use by the Foremen and Operatives.
Setting out works using appropriate instruments to an acceptable level of accuracy having regarded to the drawing, specification, and site instructions.
Checking the accuracy of the setting out at all stages of construction.
Applying relevant information to make appropriate decisions which reflect key priorities and requirements.
Monitoring and auditing the quality of own and others' work and procedures, processes and legislation required.

Successful candidates will possess a Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent, valid CSCS card with First Aid and SMSTS (desirable). Previous experience of working on internals packages are essential twinned with a minimum of five years setting out/site engineering for a Main Contractor. Candidates will also be required to provide their own Robotic Total Station.

Ideally candidate will hold a proven track record of completing large civil engineering projects on schedule and within budget and practical experience of managing and setting Subcontractors to work. Experience of computer programmes including CAD and Microsoft Office and an eye for detail and for quality of build is required.
