My Client are a Tier 1 Main Contractor operating nationally throughout the UK across a range of sectors. Due to increased workload in the Yorkshire Region with both standalone and framework lead projects, there is a requirement for an additional Sub Agent to join a successful civils and highways team.

DUTIES:
• Guide & coach subordinates in technical requirements, construction techniques and sequence
• Understand & Implement BMS
• Carry out Independent Inspections of their own section and of others
• Carry out Site Audits to check works and documentation compliance
• Liaise with designer to resolve technical issues
• Run Inspection and Test Plan system
• Write / Review Method Statements and makes improvements as appropriate
• Demonstrate excellence in all Health & Safety matters
• Be able to lead an Accident / Incident Investigation
• Produce a fully resourced three month look ahead programme
• Prepare Material take offs and call offs
• Produce a budget for directly employed labour from the resourced programme and monitors / reviews weekly costs
• Report upon weekly material reconciliation
• Have detailed knowledge of subcontract scope and attendances
• Draft correspondence to subcontractors, suppliers and Client
• Maintain good working relationship with Customer and Subcontract Staff

THE CANDIDATE:
• Degree level qualification in a Civil Engineering allied subject or HNC in Civil;
• Engineering and vocational training in Engineering;
• Understanding of Engineering Principles;
• Technical knowledge of construction techniques and best practices;
• Computer competence (MS Word, Excel, Document control system);
• Relevant CSCS Card;
• Training in Health & Safety and Environmental management;
• Presentation Skills Training (as they deliver inductions / briefings etc).
