Job Summary:

This firm are currently seeking a talented and proactive Tax Semi Senior to join their team.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our Tax department, working closely with experienced professionals to deliver high-quality tax services to our valued clients.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting with tax compliance for individuals, partnerships, and limited companies.
• Preparing and submitting self-assessment tax returns.
• Assisting in the preparation of corporate tax computations and returns.
• Supporting clients with tax-related queries and providing expert advice.
• Keeping abreast of the latest tax legislation and ensuring compliance.
• Assisting with tax planning and identifying opportunities for clients.
• Liaising with HMRC and other relevant authorities on behalf of clients.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a tax-focused role within an accountancy practice.
• A strong understanding of UK tax regulations and legislation.
• Proficiency in tax software and accounting software (e.g., CCH, Xero, QuickBooks).
• Relevant qualifications such as ATT or CTA (or working towards them) would be an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• A proactive and client-focused approach to work.
