Kenton Black Finance are delighted to represent a professional firm in the Cambridge area, who due to continued expansion across their office network, are seeking to appoint a TRAINEE Payroll Administrator to work as part of of busy payroll team. This position offers full payroll training to assist in processing of payrolls on behalf of clients and requires someone with the ability and desire to learn payroll and deal with client queries both over the telephone and email. Ideally the successful candidate will have some office/administration or related experience. This role is office based and will provide full training to undertake payroll processing duties, training on IRIS payroll software and also provides fully supported training for the professional CIPP qualification.

Your New Role As Trainee Payroll Administrator:

As Trainee Payroll Administrator, you will be working office based within a medium size payroll team, learning on the job daily, dealing with full end to end payroll processing for weekly/monthly/fortnightly payrolls using IRIS payroll system, eventually running the payroll function on behalf of your own portfolio of clients and dealing with their queries both over the telephone and via email.

Day To Day Duties:

Full training support to undertake end to end payroll processing - IRIS payroll system (training provided)
Dealing with BACS payments for clients
Dealing with auto enrolment pension schemes
HMRC queries on behalf of clients and RTI
Processing of P45/P46’s, P60’s
Dealing with SSP/SMP

Experience & Qualifications Required To Apply:

The successful candidate should ideally have a desire to learn payroll and be willing to work as part of team and ideally some office/finance or related experience. In addition a good eye for detail, be a team player and be willing to study for the professional CIPP payroll qualification (fully study support provided)!
